Ceramic braces, also known as porcelain braces, are much less noticeable than metal braces. The only difference between the two is the material the brackets, which are bonded to each tooth, are made out of. The ceramic braces are virtually clear, the most visible part is the wire running through the brackets. Which is why this orthodontic choice is also referred to as invisible braces.
